Timco’s South Yard was built in 1999 and was intended mainly as a shop/ warehouse for equipment and supplies for the mobile crews.
In 2001, Timco began accumulating extensive amounts of specialty projects from the natural gas industry. This involved blasting and special coatings in a shop atmosphere. It was at this point, we expanded the shop with new equipment and more personnel. This venture proved successful and opened the door to many new and rewarding opportunities.
One of these opportunities being with the Oklahoma Air National Guard (138th Fighter Wing) in Tulsa, OK. Projects began in 2004 with the coating and stenciling of over thirty F-16 wing tanks. The Air Guard was completely satisfied with Timco’s performance and quality of work, therefore word spread quickly to other bases. By the end of 2004, Timco had signed two 5-year contracts with the 138th Fighter Wing (Tulsa, OK) and the 188th Fighter Wing (Ft. Smith, AR). These contracts consisted of all types of coatings and government specified paint on all support equipment for the F-16, F-4 and the A-10 Jets.
Timco Blasting & Coatings, Inc. has updated our South Yard to handle most aircraft projects, and have plans to add other air bases to our customer list.
